1. Who We Are

This is the legal entity App Store and Play Store reviewers, partners, and users should treat as the data controller and publisher of Aura. Related products in the same family — including HapticCore Studio (desktop authoring) and HapticCore Preview (device companion) — are also operated by TECHPOD AI DATASERVICE PRIVATE LIMITED unless a specific product page states otherwise.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• Aura(iOS & Android) — the haptic video app for trailers, Shorts, and Worlds with synchronized Core Haptics and tactile playback.
• HapticCore Studio (macOS, Windows, Linux) — desktop authoring of Apple Core Haptics (.ahap) in sync with video.
• HapticCore Preview(iOS & Android) — on-device live preview over local Wi-Fi.
• Web platforms & APIs — including auraversion.com, Aura Studio Admin, Aura Ads, account portals, and customer support.

3. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases & Billing Data

Aura and HapticCore Studio may offer free access, paid subscriptions (including Aura Plus and organization plans), and in-app purchases.

3.1 Mobile purchases (Apple App Store & Google Play)

• Payment processing: Purchases inside the iOS or Android apps are billed by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store your full payment card number or banking credentials.
• Receipts & entitlements: We receive signed receipts, subscription status, and transaction identifiers solely to unlock and maintain features you paid for.
• Auto-renewal & cancellation: Subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Apple ID Settings or Google Play Subscriptions.

3.2 Web & organization billing

• Organization licenses and web checkout may be processed by PCI-compliant processors such as Razorpay or Stripe.
• We retain transaction records, billing contact details, and tax identifiers as required for accounting, tax, and license validation.

4. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate Aura securely and improve the service. We do not sell personal data.

5. Local Machine Learning & Media Privacy

Unreleased cuts, audio stems, and haptic projects belong to you. Studio's generation pipeline is designed to keep that media on your machine.

• On-device AI: Semantic generation (PANNs sound-event detection and Silero VAD) runs locally via a bundled sidecar.
• No media upload for AI: Footage imported for haptic generation is analyzed in local memory. It is not sent to our servers to train public models.
• Local projects: .hvproj files and generated .ahap patterns stay on disk unless you explicitly publish to Aura.

6. Local Wi-Fi & Preview Privacy

When pairing HapticCore Studio with HapticCore Preview:

• Discovery uses Bonjour / mDNS on your local network only.
• Video, playhead commands, and haptic packets travel between your computer and phone on that LAN — not through our cloud.
• Preview does not require an Aura account and does not collect personal data on our servers.

7. How We Use Information

• To provide Aura playback, Worlds, accounts, and Studio licensing.
• To process subscriptions, upgrades, and renewals.
• To keep video and haptics synchronized on supported devices.
• To produce aggregated, non-identifying analytics for publishers who use Aura.
• To detect abuse, debug outages, and protect the security of the service.
• To comply with applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

8. Sharing & Processors

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share information only as needed to run Aura:

• Infrastructure & payments: hosting, email, authentication, and payment processors bound by contract (for example AWS, Apple, Google, Razorpay).
• Store operators: Apple and Google for receipt verification and required diagnostics.
• Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect users, TECHPOD AI DATASERVICE PRIVATE LIMITED, or the public.

9. Retention & Security

• Security: TLS for data in transit; access controls and encryption at rest for production systems.
• Retention: Account data is kept while your account is active. After a verified deletion request we delete or irreversibly anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (for example tax records).

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority. In India, this includes rights available under the DPDP Act.

11. Children's Privacy

Aura is a general-audience entertainment product with optional haptic vibration. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 18 in India, as defined under the DPDP Act) without required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@auraversion.com and we will delete it.

12. Updates & Contact

We may update this policy as products or law change. The effective date at the top will be revised; material changes may also be announced in-app or by email.
