Studio Security, DRM, and Watermarking in Haptic Trailer Workflows
Protecting multi-million-dollar pre-release assets with end-to-end encryption, forensic watermarking, and MPAA-compliant sandboxes.

In the motion picture industry, a single pre-release leak of a tentpole trailer or teaser footage can compromise months of meticulously orchestrated marketing strategy and cost millions in damages. When major studios partner with Aura Version to prepare tactile teaser releases, asset security is engineered as a foundational requirement rather than an afterthought.
The High Stakes of Pre-Release Trailer Leaks
Trailer post-production workflows involve numerous distributed stakeholders: cutting houses, finishing colorists, sound supervisors, and studio marketing executives. Every handoff represents a potential leak vulnerability. Aura Version's cloud platform replaces insecure email attachments and unencrypted file shares with secure, enterprise-grade pipelines.
End-to-End Asset Encryption & Ephemeral Streaming
All video masters and .ahap haptic files uploaded to Aura Version are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. During client review playback, streams are decrypted in ephemeral device memory without writing unencrypted video frames or tactile JSON curves to disk. Time-limited screening tokens ensure links expire automatically after executive sign-off.
Forensic Haptic Watermarking: Tracking Tactile Stems
In addition to visual burned-in watermarks, Aura Version embeds imperceptible high-frequency tactile micro-modulations (sub-millisecond phase offsets) unique to each recipient. If an unauthorized screen recording or tactile capture is leaked, our forensics tools can trace the exact reviewer identity within seconds.
